S.L.L. COMMISSIONER PLAYBOOK
How to run the league without memorizing every control · V10.64 DEMO
Built-In Commissioner Help

Run the job in the right order.

This is not a separate technical manual. It is the operating playbook for the commissioner: what to do first, which control to use, and what not to change unless the league actually needs it.
The Normal Week

Commissioner Weekly Runbook

The Command Center Coach uses live status to point to the most likely next move. This is the full rhythm behind it.
01 · START OF WEEK

Access & Dates

Confirm owner access is healthy and add only confirmed league deadlines or milestones to the calendar.

Access & Permissions
02 · BEFORE KICKOFF

Participation

Watch Pick’em submissions, confirm the Locker Room state, and lock Pick’em at the league’s actual deadline.

Stay Out of the Way

Use bulletins and moderation only if needed. Live scores, Vault capture, and game storytelling should do their jobs automatically.

Close the Week

Review Postgame/Vault results, Weekly Honors, and preserve only meaningful moments in the Season Chronicle.

Codes, Sign-In & Channel Roles

Give an owner access

  1. Open Access & Permissions.
  2. Find the franchise row.
  3. Generate or enter the new universal owner code.
  4. Save it, then copy/share the readable code privately while it is still shown.
  5. Have the owner enter through the public Access Center.
One owner code covers the owner-only S.L.L. areas. Do not create a separate Pick’em password or Locker Room password.
Manage Owner Access

Owner lost the code

  1. Do not try to recover the old readable code; S.L.L. does not store it.
  2. Open the franchise in Access & Permissions.
  3. Create a replacement code.
  4. Share the replacement privately.
Replacing or disabling a code invalidates the affected owner/crew access. Use it intentionally.

Assign Channel access

  1. Make sure that franchise has an active owner code.
  2. Choose Host, Co-host, or Producer on the same franchise row.
  3. Save the role.
  4. The owner uses the same universal code; the role determines which production tools appear.
Producer includes Publish Pack. The commissioner’s active session already carries Producer-level production access.

Commissioner sign-in

  1. Enter through the public Access Center.
  2. Choose Commissioner.
  3. Enter the commissioner key once.
  4. Use the Command Center for all commissioner controls until you sign out or the session expires.
If a protected page sends you back to Access Center, sign in there again. Individual admin pages should not ask for separate commissioner passwords.
When Something Changes

Use the Correct Permanent Control

A franchise changes its name

  1. Open Franchise Registry.
  2. Keep the franchise identity intact.
  3. Add the old name as an alias instead of creating a brand-new franchise history.
  4. Use Archived status only when the franchise is no longer active.
Franchise Registry

A logo or owner image changes

  1. Use Brand Manager.
  2. Upload/replace the official asset there.
  3. Preview the franchise page after saving.
Do not edit site files just to change franchise art. Commissioner-managed branding is designed to override ordinary feed art where supported.
Brand Manager

A rule or ruling changes

  1. Use Rules & Rulings for league law.
  2. Record the effective season and enough context to understand the decision later.
  3. Use a Bulletin only to announce it; the Rulebook/Ruling record is the permanent source.
Rules & Rulings

Old standings/history need correction

  1. Use History Manager.
  2. Verify the season/source before saving.
  3. Correct the official archive there rather than patching downstream Record Book or legacy pages.
History changes can affect records, legacy scores, franchise pages, and other features that depend on the archive.
History Manager

A transaction needs S.L.L. context

  1. Check the synced ESPN move first.
  2. Use GM Transaction Ledger only for commissioner-entered context the feed cannot explain.
  3. Do not duplicate the synced transaction.
GM Ledger

Something memorable happened

  1. Use Season Chronicle for the living season story.
  2. Use Hall & Lore for lasting legends, honors, and folklore.
  3. Use the Rulebook only if the event created league law or precedent.
